Season 2003/4
After selecting players from over 200 trialists in the summer, we have started the season with an enthusiastic and talented group of girls in U16, U14, U12 & U10 squads with a development group as well. Making the most use of the remaining light evenings we are training on grass at the University of Sussex then moving onto the astro pitch at the end of September. Our first competitive outing is the London & SE Centre of Excellence Festival, to be held this year at Hainault on 13th Sept. League fixtures start on 20th Sept. and a fixture list is available HERE

Please note that fixtures on Oct 4th have been cancelled due to an FA coaches course for all centres’ staff.

The advanced coaching course for girls
This 5 day course took place at Henfield at the end of August. We were joined by one or two club players as well as Centre players and totalled 24 girls attending all or part of the week. It was an intensive week and most players showed a marked improvement in both understanding and skill as the week progressed. The ‘long hot summer’ came to an abrupt end on the Thursday but it did not deter the activities or dampen the spirits of the drenched participants. The week ended with a fun afternoon; parents and families joining in the football fun and games and barbecue. Watch this space for news of a similar course at half term.
