To school PE staff, team managers, club secretaries involved with girls football and former Centre players.

You are invited to put forward for trials any girl who shows exceptional ability or potential in her footballing performance, who has competed in competitive games and has an understanding of the basic laws of the game. At the lower age bands trialists should show a mastery of basic skills and a desire to achieve further accomplishments in the game.

Trials will take place on Mondays 16th, 23rd, 30th June and 7th July, U10s from 5.00pm - 6.00pm and U12s, U14s and U16s from 6.00pm - 8.00pm at The University of Brighton, Falmer.

Playing for the Centre of Excellence does NOT prohibit girls from playing for their present club. League fixtures with other Centres of Excellence (Southampton, Reading and London clubs such as Arsenal, Fulham etc.) are on Saturday mornings and in this development league players do not necessarily play each week or for whole games. Players will be expected to attend training on Monday evenings where progress is monitored carefully and evaluations/assessments are ongoing.

The season will start on Monday 1st September for those selected.

A Centre of Excellence is the route to national selection with scouts observing players throughout the season for England squad trials.
