Karndean Flooring for the new Eye café in Horsham, May 2015

“When designing the Eye Café I contacted SmartWood Flooring to advise on the most suitable type of flooring. It would serve in a commercial environment on the first floor, above my optical boutique at 25 West Street, Horsham.

I wanted to create a bijou café with a stylish, continental ambience.

The room had old floorboards, which matched those on the landing outside, but they were in desperate need of replacing.

SmartWood advised the installation of Karndean in an oak wood finish. Karndean is vinyl, hence very hardwearing and easy to keep clean. SmartWood Flooring were able to source Karndean in the same colour and style as the flooring in the landing area so that it would look totally natural and authentic.

SmartWood’s fitters installed the floor expertly, levelling the original uneven surface to give a perfect finish. Everyone thinks that it is a real wooden floor!

The floor with its authentic wood effect is simply everything and more than I could have wished for! My customers love it! It looks amazing!
